New Snow in las 24 hours: 3 to 4 inches. Currently 16 degrees.
Trail Conditions: Good to Very Good. There's more to maintaining the trails in the winter than just grooming them. New Year's Day we had 6 volunteers out on the trail replacing 160 peeling sign. There are still more to be replaced on a two mile stretch of Trail 637. This is certainly isn't a normal occurrence. Think we may have put up a batch of old signs this fall. Trails remain in great shape after heavy usage the last couple of days. There's a wintery mix forecasted for tonight and tomorrow. Sure hope the temps stay low so we end up with snow and not ice. We have the ice base we need. We'd like more snow.
Reminder: There is a trouble spot west of the Caberfae tunnel on Trail 6-Mile 15. The groomer has found a way around it and so can you.

New Snow in last 24 hours: Trace. Currently 23 degrees and light snow.
Trail Conditions: Good to Very Good. Snow on the White Pine is thin in spots but there is a thick ice base. Lots of snow in the forest and on the forest trails except in the heavy pines. Saw lots of you enjoying the trails yesterday and a lot of deer as well. It's amazing more of us don't hit deer with our sleds. I expect the deer spend more time than usual on the trails this year because they don't like breaking through the ice crust on the snow.
RIDE SAFELY!!!! Keep the ice and deer on your mind at all times.
